Being Hijacked Is Highly Unlikely

In the past, planes were subject to a lot of hijackings, and that was because the security in airports and inside the plane was essentially nonexistent. Since the terrible events of 9/11, the security in both the airport and the plane has increased dramatically, and hijackings have become a thing of the past. Airports have stepped up their game and reduced the number of weapons used for hijacking.

The flight crews have even been trained in these types of situations on how they can handle them. There is also usually a US Marshal located on every plane that is working undercover. So it is safe to say that hijackings are a thing of the past.
