The Reason Why The Lights Are Always Dim

There are several reasons why the lights are always dim in the airplane cabin. One reason why it’s dark inside the airplane is that the crew wants your eyes to adjust to the darkness so that you don’t hurt yourself while you are loading and unloading your baggage.

Another reason is that they want your eyes to adjust so that you can be aware, especially during an emergency. The last reason is so that you can just relax and take a nap which the flight crew doesn’t mind, and they actually are pleased when most of the passengers are asleep.
