Pilot’s Main Goal Is To Protect The Plane

Although pilots really do care about the passengers and the crew, their main objective is to protect the plane at all costs. This means that the pilot will ultimately choose to save the plane and risk the lives of the passengers in order to do so.

This is something that every pilot is trained to do, as saving the whole plane means that fewer lives will be lost. This doesn’t mean that the pilots don’t care about any life; it is just a procedure that, in the end, will save a lot more lives.
