Flight Crews Reveal The Darkest Secrets of Flying

The Chime Sound During A Flight Is A Secret Code For The Crew

You may notice several chimes that are heard throughout the flight, these are not for your pleasure but are used as a secret code language between the flight crew which they can use to communicate anywhere on the aircraft. These chimes are used to communicate with the passengers as well, and the most common is when the captain announces that it’s clear to take off your seatbelts.

These chimes can be used to communicate emergency messages between the crew, such as a damaged part or a changed route. So next time, be sure to pay attention and see if you can tell what they are trying to communicate.
