St. Bernard
St. Bernards are some of the most loyal and affectionate dogs around. They have a long history as working dogs, helping to rescue lost travelers in the snowy Swiss Alps. Their gentle nature and loving personality make them great companions for families. These large and powerful dogs are also incredibly hard–working and devoted to their owners, often forming strong bonds with those they love.
St. Bernards are known for their intelligence and trainability, making them easy to teach obedience tasks and tricks. They are also great guard dogs due to their size, strength, and intimidating bark. In addition to guarding duties, St. Bernards can be used for carting or sledding, drafting tasks, search–and–rescue operations, therapy work, and more.
