Maceio, Brazil
Still not the most dangerous city in Brazil, Maceio is still a place you don’t want to spend any time. It’s not the kind of place in which you want to bother going if you want to have a nice, peaceful vacation in which you feel safe. Imagine all those places in the world you don’t feel safe because you see a lot of police or homeless people wandering around, and then multiply that by about a million and you’ll be in Maceio. Our recommendation is that you don’t visit.
