We’re not trying to bad mouth a Bugatti.  Boy we would NEVER do something like.  But when a V-12, 1,600 horsepower vehicle comes to our attention we can’t just look away.  The Packard Royal Streamliner is a one-off custom built roadster that is powered by a V-12 Packard Royal Streamliner engine formerly used in a WWII era Patrol Torpedo Boat.  Yup.  You read that correctly.  It is using a boat engine from the 1940s.  Want an engine that’s capable of 3,000 ft-lb of torque?  This is your car.   The reason we bring up Bugatti is because this is about the same type of power and hp that the Bugatti Chiron is supposed to be producing.

The customer Roadster costs a cool $1,750,000.  The Streamliner is also as big as it looks, weighing a whopping 13,200 lbs and at nearly 32 feet long dwarfs everything else on the road. It also features a hand-formed aluminum and brass body.

It’s a tough call.  If you’ve got the money and you’re looking at a Bugatti or this gem, which one would you buy?  Check out some pictures below to help you make a decision.
