How much is a wallet worth to you? Well there are a variety of high-end fashion companies who believe that they should be worth at the very least, a few hundred of dollars. Italian luxury goods and fashion company Salvatore Ferragamo produces a wide range of quality products ranging from read-to-wear clothing to watches and jewelry, including some expensive wallets for both men and women. They have many different styles of wallets, however their most expensive wallets are the ones made for women.
The cheapest wallets that one can purchase from Ferragamo are simple mens bifold wallets that cost $295 dollars. On the other end of the spectrum, is one of their women continental wallets (pictured above). This wallet costs $650 dollars and it is the most expensive wallet that Salvatore Ferragamo produces. It is a simple, continental styled wallet that has ten credit card slots, three dollar bill compartments, and a built in inside zippered coin purse. The wallet itself is made of premium calfskin leather, that is meticulously aged and tanned to ensure the highest of quality. The wallet also features a beautiful gold Gancio flap lock closure, allowing the wallet to be locked with a small key. The dimensions of the wallet measure out to be 3.9 inches in height and 7.2 inches in length. The wallet itself is made by hand in Italy.
Now I would bet that one would be able to find a wallet that is extremely similar to this one, for a fraction of the cost. I mean this wallet is not especially unique or different from other wallets. However what those cheaper wallets lack is the “Salvatore Ferragamo” logo found on it. With wallets made by premium fashion brands, much of the costs goes to paying for the brand name, after all these types of wallets are “status symbols”. Would you spend this much for a wallet?
