While the American brand Ralph Lauren is primarily known for their clothing and fashion goods, they also produce a range of premium watches that are actually pretty nice. The company has just recently introduced its newest watch, and it is quite the looker if we may say so ourselves. The watch is called the Ralph Lauren Sporting Automotive Skeleton and we are told that this amazing timepiece was inspired and based on the luxurious Bugatti 57SC.
This new watch is part of Ralph Lauren’s “Automotive Timepiece Collection”, which is comprised of watches inspired from classic cars of yesteryear. The Sporting Automotive Skeleton is a luxurious and premium open faced, hand-wound mechanical timepiece that is certainly very impressive. The company took inspiration from the interior and exterior of the Bugatti 57SC and wanted to create something special with this watch.
On the outside we notice the front of the watch is made from wood, rare amboyna burl wood to be exact, much like the dashboard of the 57SC. The rest of the case is made from black stainless steel and the face of the watch is also black. Since it’s a skeleton watch, we can see some of the inner-workings through the face of the watch which are a mixture of white gold and gold. The watch features a RL 98295 movement which features 18 jewels in total. Finally the watch has a black strap made from crocodile leather. The watch is expected to be priced at $35,000 dollars when it is released, and will most likely be produced in limited numbers. Check out this video to see more:
