The 2014 Paris Motor Show just happened earlier this October and many amazing supercars and luxury vehicles were announced and on display. High-end car manufacturers and leaders in the industry gathered to show off and unveil new vehicles and concept cars, but a few cars were a bit more money than the others. Its hard to say who has the best car at these type of shows as, depending on which car companies you are a fan of, as they are all extremely nice.
Ferrari showed off its 458 Speciale A, which is a modified and rare version based off of the Ferrari 458 Spider. This vehicle features a unique racing stripe and is a hard top convertible. The car has a powerful V8 engine that shots the car to 60 miles per hour at just 3 seconds. The car has a high price tag of $230,000 dollars and only 499 of these are being made.
Luxury car manufacturer Bentley introduced its new Mulsanne Speed, a “sportier” version of the classic Mulsanne. At $335,000 dollars this car was designed to offer ultra-highend luxury with a considerable level of performance. The Mulsanne Speed has all the normal bells and whistles that come with a Bentley in addition to a powerful 550 horsepower V8 engine. The heavy car can even reach speeds of around 198 miles per hour.
Lamborghini was also there showing off its sweet new concept hybrid supercar: the Lamborghini Asterion LPI 910-4. While the car has a more “conservative” appearance than other Lamborghinis (see the Sesto Elemento) this amazing concept car has 910 horsepower. That power is achieved with a 5.5L V10 engine in addition to 3 electric engines. The car can drive either using both engines, or just the electric engines. It is rumored to cost around $550,000.
Rolls-Royce debuted its brand new $570,000 dollar Phantom: the Phantom Metropolitan Sedan. The Phantom Metropolitan Sedan is a special run version of the Phantom that has a variety of new features and is more unique than the normal Phantom. Only 20 of these are being produced.
The most expensive and probably the fastest car at the 2014 Paris Motor Show was a “Legendary” edition of the Bugatti Veyron, the “Ettore” Veyron. This limited edition Veyron, like all Bugattis, is the fastest production car that is street legal. The car can reach speeds close to 250 miles per hour, and has a large price tag. The car is estimated to cost around $2.9 million dollars and will be produced in limited numbers.
