Five Reasons Why The Apple Watch Will Succeed

Apple Unveils iPhone 6

Two days ago, Apple unveiled the iPhone 6 along with a new product; the Apple Watch. The watch is coming in early 2015 and will sync with the owner’s iPhone and offer a wide variety of functionality right from the wrist. The Apple Watch will be available in three styles, a normal stainless steel , a sport version, and a gold edition, and the only price announced thus far has been $350. While plenty of people will most likely be slow to get behind this trend, here are five reasons why the Apple Watch will succeed.

5. The price will drop

A big thing that will hurt sales of the Apple Watch is its price, currently set at $350. A lot of people will hold off on buying this device because they aren’t looking to spend more money than their actual phone itself; however, eventually Apple will roll out new devices or third party ones will begin to release and the price should definitely come down.

4. It’s aesthetically pleasing

All of Apple’s products are polished and pleasing to the eyes. The Apple Watch continues that and looks like a trendy digital watch. This is the type of a product that plenty would love to wear even if it didn’t do all of the fancy things.

3. Developers will back the product

A big reason many of the smart watches already out in the market are getting no notice and suffering with sales is because developers are not getting on board and furthering how nice and far they can take technology on the watches. With how successful Apple’s App Store and sales have been, it would make sense that developers want to jump all over having their products function on the watch to keep customers happy.

2. It’s great for athletes and health

Apple is rolling out their new Health Kit with iOS8 and having a watch that can track all of your vitals and level of fitness all day is a great tool to have. It even helps Apple more that they have created a sport specific version of the watch to display how the watch can be used.

1.It’s an Apple product

A smart watch is by no means an innovative product, but they just haven’t caught on with consumers at all. Apple makes a display of everything and lets it be known when they do something new. At this event they were able to show off everything the smart watch is capable of and why people need it, which is sure to inform plenty of consumers. With their credibility and backing, thousands of people are now aware and interested in smart watches.
