Gretsch Electromatic Guitars That Will Run You At Least $1,350

Gutiars

Gretsch is a famous American manufacturer of musical instruments, primarily guitars, basses, and drums. The company was founded 131 years ago in Ridgeland, South Carolina and they have been providing countless instruments to many musicians and artists. Their guitars are favored by many famous musicians and are still known today as high-quality instruments. While they are not as popular as say, Fender or Gibson, Gretsch is still a great producer of instruments. They have many different lines of electric guitars, and one of their more high-end lines are their Electromatic guitars. We are going to take a look at three of the most expensive instruments from that particular product line.

3. The Electromatic Hollow Body Guitar – $1,350

Electromatic Hollow Body Guitar

The first guitar we are looking at is the classic Electromatic Hollow Bodied guitar. The guitar looks similar to their White Falcon instruments, however there are a few differences. This guitar features a bound double-cutaway hollow body with sound-post bracing and f-holes. These guitars sound very unique as they are electric, but add some acoustic sounds to the overall mix due to the body being hollow. The guitar has a maple neck a rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, gold hardware and two Black Top Filter’Tron pickups.

2. The Jet Double Neck Guitar – $1,600

Jet Double Neck

The next guitar on our list is super interesting as it is basically two guitars in one. This unique Gretsch has two necks and it combines a normal guitar with a baritone guitar, providing the user with two distinctly different sounding instruments, all in one. The guitar is made from maple, has a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, two mini-humbucking pickups (on the top), two chrome-covered humbucking pickups (on the bottom), two pickup selectors for both guitars, two Adjusto-Matic bridges, and a beautiful silver-sparkle finish.

1. The Tim Armstrong Signature Electromatic Hollow Body Guitar – $2,000

 Tim Armstrong Signature Electromatic

Finally we reach the most expensive Electromatic guitar and one of the nicest ones. The guitar is the signature model that is used by Tim Armstrong who was the founder of the American punk band Rancid. Rancid is often regarded as one of the godfathers of modern punk, and their legacy lives on in this loud and aggressive instrument. The guitar has a bound single-cutaway hollow body which resonates the tone extremely well. The neck is made from one piece of maple and has a bound rosewood fingerboard. The guitar has two Black Top Filter’Tron  pickups, golden hardware, a pickup selector, an Adjusto-Matic bridge, and an amazing flat black finish. This guitar will bring out your inner punk rocker.
