Apple Headphones Could Be a Dying Breed

Apple Posts Record Quarterly Earnings

Apple has been a technological powerhouse for some time now, and they are currently projected to be the most valuable company of all time. Originally getting its start producing personal computers, the company has now branched out into variety of other fields, most notably cell phones and tablets. Additionally Apple, at least for a long time, produced a wide range of headphones. However, since Apple recently acquired Beats by Dre, they have phased out a lot of their headphones. Since the majority of Apple headphones have all nearly become extinct, we are going to look at their last two models of headphones that are currently still for sale.

First up is the Apple EarPods. The Apple EarPods are the headphones that come with all of their iPhones. The headphones are designed geometrical with the shape of the ear, making them more comfortable than normal earbuds. These are Apple’s entry level earbuds, however they are still pretty nice. The speakers of the EarPods are designed to minimize sound loss will maximizing audio output. The headphones also have a built in remote and a microphone so you can pause your music, or answer a phone call. The EarPods retail for $29 dollars on the Apple store.

If the Apple EarPods weren’t good enough and you want to step up your headphone game, then look at Apple’s In-Ear Headphones. For $79 dollars, the Apple In-Ear Headphones provide richer sound quality than the EarPods. Like the EarPods, the In-Ear Headphones also have a remote. However these headphones have two drivers in each ear piece. This allows the headphones to achieve a frequency range of 5Hz to 21kHz and an Ohm impedance of 23. The headphones also come with multiple silicon earpieces to ensure that they fit. Unfortunately they have received pretty poor reviews on Apples website.
