Bugatti Releases a Teaser Video for Their New Car

Bugatti

Bugatti was originally established as a French car manufacturer back in 1909. The company created high-end, luxury automobiles for the most discerning drivers in the world. The original company would eventually disband and shut down in 1963, to the disappointment of many. Luckily, as most of us know, Volkswagen purchased the brand in 1998, and they would deliver one of the greatest cars of all-time: the Veyron. Bugatti produced this legendary car for around a decade, selling many across the world. It claimed the title as the fastest production car in the world, but last year, the very last ever Veyron was sold. Bugatti decided to discontinue their Veyron, and we’ve all been wondering: what’s next?

Well Bugatti have recently uploaded a short video on their YouTube page, that seems to indicate that we will see a successor to the Veyron. The video is very short, and we don’t actually see a car at all. However we do hear an anonymous narrator say “a new chapter begins”, and it definitely seems like there’s going to be a new car sometime soon. Give it a watch:

Based off of the wording in the video, I think it’s safe to assume that we are going to see a new Bugatti very soon. Maybe sometime within this year? Who knows. It’s also interesting to note the hashtag that Bugatti has added to the video, one that has also been trending around various forms of social media. It says “imaginEBugatti”, and I think it’s safe to say that there’s something significant about the “e” in that hashtag. Perhaps it indicates that the next Bugatti will be a hybrid vehicle? We’ve seen McLaren, Porsche, and Ferrari release absurdly powerful, hybrid-hypercars within the last few years, so I’d imagine Bugatti is planning to make their next car similar. These hybrids are truly the future of the automobile industry, and I think it’s safe to expect that the next Bugatti will be a hybrid. Or maybe it will be extremely insane, and be a fully-electric car? Would Bugatti do something that crazy? They did after all make the fastest, street-legal car in the world. We will have to wait in store for what’s next, but since they’ve launched a teaser video, I would imagine that an official announcement for their new car is not that far off. In the meantime, we will just keep waiting to see what’s on the horizon for this beloved brand.
