Reese Witherspoon has had a long and successful acting career so far, and she’s only 38 years old. She’s been in plenty of enjoyable films throughout the years, and has build up a large fan base. While she is mainly known for starring in the Legally Blonde series as Elle Woods, the actress has had other hits as well. These are the highest grossing Reese Witherspoon movies.

5. This Means War – $156.4 Million

This Means War is a romantic comedy that came out in 2012. It starred Witherspoon in a love triange with Chris Pine and Tom Hardy; two CIA agents secretly warring with one another after they find out they are seeing the same woman. The movie was not too successful in the United States but actually saw higher returns in the foreign market.

4. Four Christmases – $163.7 Million

Four Christmases was another romantic comedy released in 2008 that starred Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn as a couple with divorced parents on both sides and trying to visit everyone on Christmas Day.  The movie did just okay and really suffered in the foreign box office.

3. Sweet Home Alabama – $180.6 Million

Sweet Home Alabama released over a decade ago in 2002 and starred Witherspoon along side of Patrick Dempsey. The film’s plot was about a young southern girl who runs away to New York for a fresh start. The movie received average ratings and earned $127 million in the domestic box office and only an addition $53 million in the foreign markets.

2. Walk The Line – $186.4 Million

Walk the Line was a massive hit that was a biopic about Johnny Cash and his entire life story. Joaquin Phoenix starred as Cash while Witherspoon had the lead supporting role of June Carter. The movie was a huge hit and Witherspoon even won the Oscar for her supporting actress role.

1. Monsters vs. Aliens – $381.5 Million

Monsters vs. Aliens was an animated film released back in 2009 that had Witherspoon voicing the lead role of a woman who was transformed into a giant. The movie focuses on this goofy team of monsters that have to save the world from attacking aliens. The cast included voices from famous stars such as Seth Rogen, Hugh Laurie, Will Arnett, Kiefer Sutherland, Rainn Wilson, Stephen Colbert, and even Paul Rudd.
