Robin Williams’ Son Pays Tribute To His Dad In A Beautiful Way

Taking the stage

After dropping out of Julliard, Williams took his comedic stylings to the stage, performing in comedy clubs in San Francisco and eventually Los Angeles. While in LA, the actor was discovered by TV producer George Schlatter, who asked him to appear on a revival of his show Laugh-In. The show aired in late 1977 and was Williams’ debut TV appearance.

In spite of Williams’ impeccable talent, the revival failed. However, it led to more TV appearances for the actor, including a stint on The Richard Pryor Show. He also continued his stand up comedy routines at clubs in the area. Williams’ hard work ultimately led to the opportunity of a lifetime that would really kickstart his career.
