Remembering a father
Zak still continues to use his platform to speak out on these issues in loving memory of his father. He currently serves on the board of Bring Change to Mind, an organization started by actress Glenn Close to reduce the stigma around mental illness. He also loves to talk about the good times that he had with his father rather than the bad.
“The memories I treasure most are the quiet times, the reflective times that we spent together because he was a very thoughtful person. He loved to entertain, but the quality time reflected a deeper sense of my understanding of him—through the good times and the bad,” Zak shared.
