Maserati to Build Alfieri Coupe and Convertible for 2016

A3

There are so many luxury automobiles it’s easy to overlook the sheer awesomeness that Maserati represents. The Italian luxury car manufacturer was founded in 1914. Over the past 100 years, Maserati has produced some of the finest vehicles this world has ever seen. Even after they were purchased by Fiat in 1993, Maserati was still churning out sheer automotive brilliance. Their latest masterpiece took auto shows around the world by storm. Every single review of the Alfieri Coupe started with “JUST BUILD IT!”

According to reports, Maserati is going to “just build it”. The annual production map that was presented at the Fiat/Chrysler annual meeting last week revealed that the Alfieri coupe and convertible will be available by 2016 at the latest. There isn’t much else to report at the moment. The Alfieri will come in either a coupe or convertible body style and will offer consumers either all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive. All of the vehicles will include a range of V6 engines that offer anywhere from 410 to 520 horsepower, depending on the drive configuration.

One of the winners of the Geneva Auto Show is going to become a reality all in good time. After seeing the image and reading the reviews, it was hard to imagine Maserati NOT moving forward.. They did tease for a minute!
