Everyone loves to admire nice cars that they wish they could own, and the best place to do that is at an auto show. Auto shows are great because they really display the work and detail that both the manufacturers and owners put into the cars in order to make them look nice and run well. I’ve been to some pretty decently sized local auto shows in my area, but never any that have been mind blowingly awesome. Let’s take a look at some of the biggest auto shows in the world.
5. North American International Auto Show
The North American International Auto Show takes place annually in the United State’s auto capital – Detroit. First established back in 1907, the NA International Auto Show is held sometime in January each year and focus on collecting money for various charities. Each year the biggest car and motorcycle manufacturers are all out in Detroit for this event to showoff their newest and top of the line vehicles. This seems like the best international auto show in the United States and the funds are even going to good causes so it’s a win-win for everyone.
4. Salon International de L’Auto
The Salon International takes place in Geneva, Switzerland. This is a very big auto show that happens each year because while nearly all of the companies show up to display products, a lot of companies have used the Salon International for displaying their concept cars. It would definitely be cool to see some concept cars up close because of how bold they are usually designed.
3. European Motor Show
The European Motor Show was created in 1902 and is held in Brussels, Belgium every year. The motor show has very affordable prices and all manufacturers are displaying their vehicles annually. The only times that the show has not happened were over the entire duration of World War I & II while they happened.
2. Mondial de L’Automobile
Otherwise known as the Paris Motor Show, the Mondial was created way back in 1898 and is considered to be the first auto show held in the world. The Paris Motor Show is the most attended auto show out there and seems to be the most accessible for everyone. It’s held in Porte de Versailles every October and lasts for over 10 days, allowing for plenty of people to come and enjoy the vehicles.
1. Internationale Automobil Ausstellung
The Internationale Automobil Ausstellung also goes by the Frankfurt Auto Show which is held in Germany. The Frankfurt Auto Show is known for how big and professionally well run it is compared to the other events. The show takes up 12 buildings but I would expect nothing less from one of the world’s car capitals. The show is now reaching up to 1000 exhibitors and is easily considered to be the best auto show in the world.
