The Fanciest Private Jet Amenities in Existence

Private Jet Features

For most people that travel via an airplane, they will have to make do with commercial flights. You can get a little more luxurious and upgrade to first-class, however nothing really comes close to owning or flying on a private jet. The benefits of having a private jet are pretty great: its ready to go when you are, there aren’t baggage restrictions, you have more room to relax, and ultimately they are designed for your specific needs. Obviously private jets are extremely expensive to purchase and operate, and only the ultra-wealthy can really afford them. Still if you can own a private jet, I would imagine that it’d be pretty great. Much like cars, private jet companies allow future buyers to personalize their future jet with many different amazing features. We are going to take a look at some of the fanciest, most luxurious, and down-right insane amenities that exist on private jets out there today.

A Full Size Bathroom

Private Jet Bathroom

Bathrooms are always a tricky thing on airplanes due to the confined spaces. Well depending on how deep your wallet is, some private jets have some amazing bathrooms. Depending on the size of the jet, you can even upgrade to a full sized bathroom complete with a shower and a real toilet, not those tiny ones you see on commercial planes. Some of the bathrooms onboard private jets rival those found in peoples homes. Donald Trump’s private jet, for example, is known to have his sink fully covered in gold, and there are many others out there that are similar. The advantages of taking a shower at 40,000 feet must be pretty amazing, I’d imagine, and you would never worry about having to show up somewhere unclean.

 A Business Meeting Room

Some of the larger private jets out there, like private Boeing 737’s, can be outfitted with a full sized meeting room. This amenity is crucial for those who are heavily involved in business and need to do work or have a meeting whilst in the air. There are many private jets that can be outfitted with these, but they are typically the most expensive ones out there (like the ones owned by billionaires). These in-air meeting rooms come complete with internet access, AC adapters, and even a monitor to load up a presentation or a business plan.

A Living Room

Another amazing amenity that a private jet can have is a living room. You’ve seen many private jets that have comfortable seats that are spread out, however only a few have full-sized living rooms. The advantage of having a living room on your jet should pretty pretty obvious as it just offers a level of comfort that most airplanes do not offer. The living room found in this private Airbus ACJ 318 offers leather reclining chairs, a leather sofa, a minibar, two tables, and a large television. You’ll never feel like you’ve left your home, okay actually you probably will because if you can afford this your home is probably incredible. Still it’s pretty amazing to have.

 A Kitchen

You are probably seeing a trend right about now. Basically the nicest private jets out there are essentially flying homes. Some of the more premium jets, like this $77 million dollar Boeing, are outfitted with a full kitchen. These kitchens can include a microwave, a fridge, a wine cooler, and even a convection oven. Go the extra mile and hire a private chef to join you on board to cook delicious meals for you and your guests.

A Bedroom

Arguably the best amenity that one could have in a private jet would be a full-sized bed or bedroom. Sure there are plenty of comfortable seats in jets that you can sleep in, but why would you do that if you could have a bed to yourself? For short flights they aren’t that necessary but if you are flying from New York to Sydney, for example, having a bed to sleep in goes a very long way. Many private jet manufacturers offer a range of different beds, and depending on how much you are willing to spend, you can make some of them extremely nice. Some of the larger private jets even have multiple beds for your friends and family.

A Car Garage

Yes, you’ve read right, if you are wealthy enough you can put a car garage on an airplane. We’ve seen every amenity on this list essentially make these jets flying homes, and this truly completes the package. While there are unfortunately no pictures of it, there is one private jet known to have a garage. Prince Alwaleed bin Talal is a Saudi prince and billionaire who purchased an Airbus A380 for himself. Typically this is a commercial jet that fits 800 people, however he has made it into his personal private jet with a garage. He purchased this jet for close to $500 million dollars, and fully tricked it out. It costed him another $150 million dollars to outfit it with a garage and a turkish bath. What does he keep in the garage? Well a Rolls-Royce of course. So there you go, if you have unlimited funds, you can turn a private jet into a flying home.
