It’s an incredible experience owning a private jet, at least I imagine it would be as I will probably never know. Embraer, a Brazilian aircraft manufacturer of private, commercial, military, and agricultural airplanes has just updated one of its private jets: the Phenom 100E. This aircraft from Embraer is not a new model, it is just a newer and more improved version of their entry level Phenom series.
The improved Phenom 100E is somewhat larger than its previous model, and this new model can sit up to five people in the main cabin of the aircraft (the older version could only sit four). The Phenom 100E is a great aircraft that provides decent amounts of luxury inside a private jet. These private jets are considered to be “entry-level” or “lite” jets as they are some of the smallest private jets that one can own. While the jet is small it still offers its occupants high-quality luxury leather chairs that are able to be reclined, swivel, and can be moved backward or forward. The jet, according to their website, also has the largest windows in its class, and the most amount of baggage space in its class that measure out to 70 cubic feet. The jet is designed to make the most out of its space and it does a fine job. It can even fit a small toilet on board. The dimensions of the Phenom 100E measure out to be 42.1 feet long by 14.3 feet high with a wingspan of 40.4 feet. Potential customers also have the great option of choosing between 11 different color and interior themes that have been designed by BMW DesignWorksUSA.
The airplane is also designed to optimize usage of just one single pilot, however there can also be a copilot. The advanced computer system and autopilot on board make the aircraft very easy to be piloted by one individual pilot. The airplane is powered by two Pratt & Whitney jet engines that can propel the craft to reach speeds of 447 miles per hour. On a full tank of fuel the jet can climb to altitudes of 41,000 feet and travel up to 1,355 miles. It should be noted that that is not a far enough range to go from New York to London, this jet succeeds best with shorter distances. Embraer has now just started making these jets in the United States in Melbourne, Florida and they retail for about $4.2 million dollars.
