Only a few motorcycle companies can manage to make bikes that are super cool and the best around, and the leader at that would probably be Harley-Davidson. No other bike manufacturer has such a cult-like following, and that following has helped the brand become extremely valuable. The Sportster range from Harley is one of their more popular and they are great, all-around bikes. Since the Sportsters are so well-liked, we are going to take a look at the XL1200CA Sportster.
The XL1200CA is a more expensive Sportster compared to the other models in its family, and it offers the rider a balanced and comfortable riding experience. This Sportster aims to be your “everyday” bike that can do a little bit of everything without getting overly complicated. This model has a larger fuel tank, new brakes, new wheels, upgraded instrumentation, and a few other upgrades compared to the base Sportster models.
The bike is certainly powerful with its 1202cc 4-valve, V-twin Harley Evolution engine that offers 65bhp and 107Nm of torque. Since it is a Harley is obviously has a low and mean growl to it that certainly comes out the best in the lower gears. While the bike is geared more towards cruising, it can still manage to accelerate from 0-60mph in 6 seconds.
Harley-Davidson also offers consumers a wide range of added extra and options for this bike, including a list of different color combinations. While there are certainly better bikes on the market that can do more and are packed with more gizmos, that’s not what this Sportster is about. The XL1200CA is all about riding at its purist form. It’s a straightforward and simple bike and simple isn’t always bad, in this case it’s very, very good. It’s a classic Harley-Davidson motorcycle that you own for years.
