Imagine having a mini-mobile printer on your desk for those quick documents that need to be printed. Imagine avoiding paper jams, walking across the building to the company printer, or waiting in a queue for your document to be printed? It’s all possible now, but maybe no practical just yet.
Designed by Zuta Labs, the Mini Mobile Robotic Printer is a innovative piece of genius. It should come as no surprise to anyone that in the ‘Mobile Age’ something like a printer has entered the fray. Not to mention, the environmental impact of large, bulky printers and what they consume on a daily basis is also a major factor to give way to something small and eco-friendly. Using intelligent software and sophisticated motors, the Mini Mobile travels across a piece of paper placing ink wherever a document tells it to. Have a multi-page document that needs to be printed? No problem, just pick up the Mini Mobile and place it on a fresh piece of paper. It’s not fast, printing only 1.2 pages per minute, but it’s mobility may be devastatingly critical.
The Mini Mobile wireless supports most operating systems. The inkjet cartridge in the device can print more than 1,000 pages and should be able to print about 60 pages per charge. Get this – it only costs $135 bucks as well. However, if you’ve taken economics you know the trick with printers. Cheap devices – get you on ink and other accessories. We will see if the Mini Mobile picks up some steam, it’s pretty awesome.
