These are the five largest developers in China.

This is a company that was founded in the late 1970s. China Overseas Land & Investment LTD. is a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation. In 2012, this particular developer had an $8.3 billion turnover and a 30 percent increase of sold area covered.
Dalian Wanda Group Corporation LTD
This particular developer has assets more than $48 billion. Dalian Wanda does not limit their practice to simply developing land. They also develop a variety of other properties. The company owns dozens of five-star hotels, hundreds of movie theaters and it’s the largest global cinema holder. It’s one of the biggest developers in the world.
Poly Real Estate Group Co LTD
With more than $60 billion in assets, this company is one of the largest developers in all of China. It was founded in the early 90s, which makes it a fairly young company as well. It’s most lucrative method of business comes from its property development, though the company does work in other aspects of the development industry as well.
Evergrande Group
The $14.5 billion in sales the company made last year makes it the second largest in the country. The company focuses on the development of residential properties. Evergrande is also in the business of creating tourist attractions and sports entertainment facilities. It’s a profitable, and big, business for the company.
China Vanke Co, LTD
It’s the 14th largest privately held corporation in the world according to the 2012 Fortune 500 list. Its annual sales volume averages $22 billion, and the company’s focus is impressive. In addition to development, China Vanke Co also focuses on design and execution. The company is the largest developer in all of China.
