Honda began its motorcycle production back in 1955, and like their automobiles, they are well known for their reliability and affordable price. They are currently the largest manufacturer of motorcycles in Japan, and there motorcycles receive considerable amounts of popularity around the world. They produce a wide range of motorcycles for all kinds of riders: they have sport and cruising bikes, and off-road and adventure motorcycles. Since the company has such a wide rang of different types of motorcycles, we are going to look at some of the most expensive that they sell.
The Interstate – 13,240
The first Honda motorcycle on our list is the Interstate. From their cruiser motorcycle line, this bike is an all around solid bike for those looking for a classic and comfortable ride. The bike has a pretty cool design and it features a large 1312cc V-twin engine that sounds just terrific in real life and gives the rider amazing low and mid-range toque. This bike is designed to give you an all around solid ride; it’s an everyday type of bike. The bikes comes with leather saddle bags, a large windscreen, and roomy floorboards to ensure that your ride is comfortable.
The Fury – $13,390
Next up on our list we have the Fury. This bike is another motorcycle from Honda’s causing line, and is way more aggressive in appearance than the Interstate. This bike certainly looks like something from Sons of Anarchy, and if thats what you are going for, this bike is pretty great. The Fury has the same 1312cc engine found in the Interstate, but its packed into a much more powerful looking bike. The bike has 3-cylinders and a 5-speed transmission, and has a curb weight of 663 pounds making it a brute. It gets about 45 miles to the gallon, and is an all around great bike.
The CBR1000RR – $13,999
Hailing from Honda’s supersport collection is the CBR1000RR. This bike should be used for experienced riders only as it is made for ultra-high performance riding. This bike is all about speed, acceleration, and handling. The bike has a 999cc liquid-cooled four cylinder engine and a close-ration six-speed transmission. You will find all the features that most racing bikes have: ABS, Brembo brakes, an adjustable suspension, premium race tires, and much more. If you want to go really fast, and kill supercars in drag races, then this is the bike for you.
The VFR1200F – $15,999
Coming in next on our list we have Honda’s VFR12o0F from their sport bike collection. This motorcycle combines performance with technology. It has a 1237cc V4 engine powered by Honda’s first Throttle by Wire system. The bike has traction control, an ABS system, a dual-clutch automatic six-speed transmission. With the automatic transmission Honda lets you choose if you want paddle shifters like in F1 cars, or if you want the bike to just do the shifting itself. This bike is a perfect combination of performance and technology, and if you are a sport bike fan it is definitely worth checking out.
The CTX1300 – $15,999
Next up on the list is the CTX1300. For just about $16,000 dollars this bike is perfect for long range motorcycle journeys on paved roads. If you are looking for a bike to take you across the United States, then this motorcycle is perfect. It has a 1261cc V4 engine, a large fuel tank, multiple saddle bags, a comfortable seat, Bluetooth technology, anti-locking brakes, traction-control, and much more. This bike provides the rider with a comfortable and smooth ride able to take on any journey.
The ST1300 – $18,230
The ST1300 is Honda’s third most expensive bike, and a unique combination of two bikes. Honda calls it a sport-touring motorcycle. So that means this bike has considerable levels of performance, and all the comfort features of a touring motorcycle all wrapped into one bike. The bike features a 1261cc engine, a shaft drive, a race-oriented chassis, ABS, a massive 7.7 gallon fuel tank, and much more. This bike is great for long rides across scenic routes, and opening it up when you see that epic winding mountain road.
The Gold Wing – $23,999
Last up on our list we have the Gold Wing, which is Honda’s most expensive bike. This is their premier touring bike and it is designed for comfort. It is essentially a luxury motorcycle. It has huge saddle bags, a comfortable seat, a navigation and entertainment system, a surround sound system, a massive 1832cc engine opposed six-cylinder engine, a large fuel tank, and much more. The Gold Wing is the bike that you would take for hundreds of miles on a trip, while remaining extremely comfortable. They have been making these bikes for 40 years, and there is a reason for that: they are just so great.
