How can you not love Apple? They are the answer to all of our technology hopes and dreams. Just when you thought it wasn’t safe to text and walk down the street. Apple saves the day. According to FastCompany, Apple has filed a patent for a new feature that would make sending a text message and walking safe. ‘Transparent texting’ technology is exactly what it sounds like it would be. Essentially, your white text background would be replaced by a live video feed from your phone’s video camera. This means you can be prepared for anything coming your way (i.e. not fall into a water fountain in the mall). However, whose texting posture has their phone angled directly in front of you? If my calculations are correct there will be a lot of texting and seeing what’s going on on the ground right in front of you.
Regardless, you better believe that Apple patents make their way into Apple products. However, it should be noted that ‘Type n Walk’ has already hit the Android and Apple store. However, it cannot be used with iOS making Apple’s ‘Transparent Texting’ a much more likely solution. The iPhone and everything built around it has been a hot topic on this website. Whether it’s expensive phones, cases, accessories, and soon to be apps. This might be just hardwired into iMessaging at some point. Keep an eye out.
