Warren Buffet is one of the wealthiest guys in the world. He also is one of the coolest, most down-to-earth guys there is going. We’ve never met him, but we’ve seen plenty of videos like the one we’re posting today that have us convinced.
After the annual Berkshire Hathaway board meeting this past weekend, Mr. Buffet spent some time at Borsheims, a jewelry mega-store he owns in Omaha, Nebraska. Buffet wasn’t there to oversee the staff. He wasn’t there to check out the books. He was there to sell jewelry to customers. Only he threw a little bit of a curveball to one couple.
Buffet helped one Berkshire shareholder with a little surprise according to Borsheim’s blog:
Eric LaFante told his girlfriend he was buying her a necklace from Warren Buffet, but instead bought an engagement ring, dropped to his knee, and proposed to his girlfriend. Mr. Buffet handed them two glasses of champagne and celebrated a toast with them with Borsheim’s President and CEO Karen Goracke.
