The Black Friday weekend is over, the holiday season is officially upon us, and everyone is out buying gifts for their friends and family. Every year certain gifts are more in-demand than others, and sometimes, these gifts are extremely hard to get ahold of. Have you wondered what the most popular gifts this holiday season are? Well luckily Google took a look at some of their search engine data to see what gifts people want the most this year. Google then analyzed the gifts and data and came up with a few lists of the most popular gifts for this holiday season. Within their lists, a few luxury products were popular this season; products that cost considerably more compared to others. Here are five of the top trending luxury gifts this season, in no particular order.

5. Bomber Jackets
There are certain fashion items that seem to never go out of style, and one of them would be the bomber jacket. Google found that the bomber jacket was one of the most searched for apparel gifts this season, and they can certainly be a luxury item. While you can definitely find bomber jackets that are affordable from a variety of vendors, a nice bomber jacket is something that’s “worth” spending a lot of money, particularly a leather one. Leather bomber jackets are an article of clothing that you can expect to keep for a number of years, perhaps even a few decades as they really hold up. Depending on the manufacturer you can expect to pay anywhere from $400 to upwards of a few thousand dollars for a high-end bomber jacket. The jacket pictured above from John Varvatos and it is available at Nordstrom’s for $1,098. Sure that’s a lot of money, but this is a jacket you keep for the rest of your life. Other good brands to check out for bomber jackets are US Wings, Hugo Boss, Missani, Givenchy, and Armani. Bomber jackets are very popular, and chances are, your favorite label probably makes one.

4. Smart TVs
Smart television are another popular gift idea for this holiday season, and we can very much consider them to be a “luxury” gift. You probably don’t “need” a smart tv, however they are very cool. Smart television sets offer a range of extra features that normal televisions simply do not have. You can connect to the internet with them, download applications (Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, YouTube, etc.), and even control the television with your voice. Quality “low-end” smart TVs will probably cost between $600 and $800 dollars. However if you want to go all-out, they can get absurdly expensive. For example, the top-of-the-line 4K SUHD 78-inch curved Samsung smart TV costs upwards of $9,000 dollars. If that’s not a luxury gift, then I don’t know what is. Smart TV’s can generally be found anywhere electronics are sold (Best Buy, Target, Walmart, etc.) or online. However I would personally feel wary ordering a $9,000 dollar television online and then shipping it to my house, but that’s just me.

3. Shinola Watches
Another luxury gift keyword that Google found to be trending this holiday season are Shinola watches. Shinola is a luxury lifestyle brand based in Detroit that produces watches, leather products, bicycles, and other high-end accessories, most of which are built by hand. The company offers a range of different watches and styles for both men and women, and they are certainly a luxury gift. Their base models start at $475 to $500 dollars. If you are seeking something a bit more luxurious from the brand, then you can expect to pay upwards of $1,000 dollars, and their high-end models are over $2,000 dollars. Shinola watches can be found at a variety of different stores across the country, however your best bet for acquiring one is going directly to their website.

2. Smart Watches
Next to Shinola watches, Google found that smart watches are another popular gift this season. Now smart watches come in all different kinds from a range of different brands, however I would consider many to be luxury products. The base models from companies like Motorola or LG will set you back anywhere from $250 to $350 dollars. Maybe that’s not high enough in price to be a “luxury” gift, however there are plenty of luxury smart watches out there. Apple’s mid-range offerings start at $549 and then sell for upwards of $1,000 dollars, and let’s not forget the Apple Watches made from gold. TAG Heuer recently came out with a $1,500 dollar smart watch, and there are many other companies selling smart watches that are made from high-end materials.

1. Hoverboards
Google found that one of the most searched for term this holiday season was “hoverboard”. These toys have grown increasingly popular, and Google found that searches for hoverbords went up over 500% compared to July. Now hoverboards, aka two-wheeled mini-segways, are definitely toys, but I’d consider them to be a luxury toy. A cheap hoverboard from a no-name brand will cost you maybe $400 dollars. The one’s that are “worth” buying cost upwards of $600 dollars, and many are $1,000 dollars or more. And then there’s the company simply known as Hoverboard, who sells a unique one-wheeled version. Their boards start at $2,995 dollars and their top-of-the-line model is $9,995 dollars. While these are technically “toys”, at those prices, the hoverboard is definitely a luxury toy by all accounts. The best place to find and buy hoverboards is definitely online. Amazon has a solid range of offerings, or you can buy directly from the company that you have in mind. Do a quick search to find which brands are the best, as these have become almost a super-fad and there are hundreds of different brands out there.
