Part lamp, part garden, and part modern art, the Grasslamp is an interesting new product created by Marko Vuckovic. Marko came up with the idea for the Grasslamp when he was thinking of ways to liven up his office. He wanted to create a piece that blended nature and technology together into one beautiful and truly unique product.
The Grasslamp is an all-in-one unit that allows you to grow a range of micro-greens, particularly wheat grass. It’s as easy as soaking some seeds, putting them in the Grasslamp, plugging the device in, and watering the plants as needed. Absolutely no soil is used in the Grasslamp, so it’s not messy. But not only is the Grasslamp an ingenious desktop garden, it’s arguably a piece of art. It’s unique and minimalistic design makes it quite beautiful, and it will have a lot of people talking.
Marko and his team are still currently funding the project through Kickstarter. If you get in early, you can buy a Grasslamp for $129 dollars. However once they’ve raised all their funds, it will jump in price up to $399 dollars. While that is expensive, the Grasslamp is arguably one of the nicest luxury desktop gardens that money can buy.
