Five of the Safest Airlines in the World

The Safest Airlines

There are many qualities that airlines posses that make them an easy pick for when it’s time to travel: luxury amenities, quality service, good food, and affordance rates would be some examples. However, arguably one of the most important things to consider is how safe a specific airline actually is. For the most part, all modern commercial airplanes are very safe, and the likelihood of an unpleasant outcome is very low, statistically speaking. Still things happen, and any accident involving an airplane is often tragic, which is why many people are concerned with safety or are afraid of flying.

This past year we have seen a few tragic incidents involving airplanes, which is why many people want to find the safest one. Analysts over at Airlineratings.com examined a host of data from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, the International Civil Aviation Organization, airline’s operational history, performance reports, and a variety of other sources to come up with which airlines are statistically the safest. So here are five if the safest airlines in the world.

5. British Airways

British Airways always consistently ranks very high as an airline, and it turns out that they are one of the safest in the world. They have very few incidents and go the extra mile to ensure that their entire fleet of airplanes are safe, inspected, and up to current aviation safety standards. They are also fairly luxurious as well.

4. Emirates

Emirates is another airline that is consistently ranked very high as an airliner, and they are among the safest in the world. Their business-class offerings are class leading, and you can be sure that a trip with Emirates will be a good one.

3. Lufthansa

This famous German airline is also one of the safest in the entire world. Lufthansa has a solid track record of providing safe flights to consumers, and they have had very few incidents in the past that involved accidents or safety concerns.

2. Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airlines is one of the smallest airlines on our list, however they are among the safest in the world beating out many competitors. Singapore Airlines also provides the world with some of the most luxurious commercial airplanes and amenities available. Choosing Singapore Airlines is always a win-win.

1. Qantas

The Australian airline known as Qantas tops the list, as they are still one of the safest airlines in the entire world. For 60 years their safety record is completely clean, and there haven’t been any fatalities on a Qantas plane in that time. Not many other airlines can boast about that.
