Brewster’s Million was a silly movie from 1985 where a character played by Richard Pryor inherits $300 million dollars. However in order to get the money, he has to spend $30 million dollars in 30 days. He comes up with a bunch of crafty ways to try and spend the money, essentially spending one million dollars each day. So what would you do if you had to spend one million dollars in one single day? When you think about it, the challenge can actually be quite difficult. Still there are plenty of insane ways to spend your money. Here is a list of ten absurd ways that you can realistically blow one million dollars in a single day.
10. Purchase one million, $1 dollar shares worth of penny stocks from one company
Outside of the regular stock market is the penny stock market. Shares that are on the penny stock market are extremely cheap and inexpensive. Essential small public companies trade their stocks here for extremely low amounts of money. There really isn’t that much money to be made in penny stocks, however if your purchase a $1 million dollars worth, it would be pretty amusing. You can probably find a company whose shares are trading at $1 dollar per share, and will probably end up buying the company if you bought this much.
9. Buy the DKNY Golden Delicious Perfume
DKNY is a well known fashion and design company, and they have a silly bottle of perfume that costs exactly one million dollars. This perfume is easily the most luxurious that you can get, and most of the cost is in the bottle. The bottle has over 2,900 different gems and diamonds that are sourced from all over the world. The perfume itself comes from Opulent Perfumes, who are well known for their expensive and unique scents.
8. Get a private concert from Beyonce
Beyonce is an extremely popular artists who is known throughout the world. If you want to skip going to one of her concerts, you could just pay her one million to come to your house for a private show. Apparently a while back she charged members of Muammar Gaddafi’s family a crisp one million for a private concert.
7. Stock up on the most expensive coffee in the world
Black Ivory Coffee is a exclusive brand of coffee that is known to be the most expensive in the world, as it costs around $1,200 per kilogram. What makes the coffee so special you ask? Well before the beans are collected, they are actually consumed by elephants in Thailand. The beans pass through the elephants and then are collected from their feces. Seriously, I’m not kidding. This apparently makes the coffee taste good. With one million bucks, you can have a large supply of this, uh, unique coffee.
6. Go to Las Vegas, make a single bet costing $1 million
Sure you could come to Vegas with your million, and try to make money on it in one day. Alternatively, you could go to a roulette table and bet it all on the color red. This would be extremely amusing to do, and foolish, but hey if you’re trying to spend it, why not? Imagine what the people around you would think.
5. Purchase four Ferrari 458 Italia’s
The Ferrari 458 Italia is a pretty great supercar. If you had one million dollars to spend in a single day, you could purchase four of these amazing vehicles. With 570 horses under the hood, these cars will certainly deliver, and if your wreak one, then at least you have three more to spare.
4. Pick up two Panasonic televisions
Priced at $500,000 dollars the Panasonic TH-152UXI is one of the most expensive television sets in the world. The television costs so much because it has a 12.6 foot screen with a resolution of 4096 x 2160. With one million dollars, you can get two of these bad boys for your house.
3. Get five bottles of Hennessy Beaute du Siecle Cognac
At $200,ooo per 700 ml bottle, the Hennessy Beaute du Siecle Cognac is the most expensive cognac in the entire world. Only 100 bottles have been made, and it is supposed to taste good, but no one really knows since it costs $200,000 dollars.

The Hotel President Wilson is an exclusive and luxurious hotel in Geneva, Switzerland. It is also known to contain the most expensive hotel suite in the world. At $65,000 per night, the Royal Penthouse Suite has twelve bedrooms, twelve bathrooms, a private elevator, bulletproof glass, a Steinway piano, and a private helipad.

Probably the best way to blow one million dollars in a single day would be to go to space. At $250,000 dollars per ticket, you can travel to space privately via Virgin Galactic. Many people have already signed up, and flights are expected to start within the next few years and they are taking reservations right now.
