The Top Five Luxury Motorcycle Models of 2015

Top Luxury Motorcycles of 2015

A “luxury motorcycle” seems like a strange concept to those unfamiliar with bikes, but they do in-fact exist. While motorcycling for many is about one of the purist forms of transportation, one where you feel the road and are surrounded by the elements, some want luxury features on a bike. This is not to say that those that prefer a luxury bike “don’t appreciate motorcycling”, it’s just that they want to do so in moderate levels of comfort. Sure that sport bike is the fastest thing out there, but those bikes get extremely uncomfortable to ride for long durations. Luxury motorcycles offer riders comfortable seats, cruise control, ABS, satellite radio, multiple storage compartments, and other features that most bikes simply don’t have. If you want to go on a long motorcycling journey, a luxury bike would offer the most comfortable ride hands-down. So what are some of these bikes? Here is a list of five motorcycles that are the best luxury bikes currently on the market, and when we’re talking about luxury motorcycles we are talking about grand tourers.

5. The Honda Gold Wing

Honda Gold Wing

Consistently praised for their affordability, reliability, ease-of-use, and value, Honda motorcycles are always a good choice. Maybe they aren’t the “coolest” bikes you can get, but a Honda will most likely rarely break down on you. At the top of their motorcycle line is their Gold Wing, and it is a very premium motorcycle. It’s got a large and powerful engine, comfortable (heated) leather seats for two, a satellite navigation system, ABS breaks, XM radio, an airbag, large storage compartments, and even a surround-sound system. It’s  a whole lot of motorcycle for just $23,999.

4. The KTM 1290 Super Adventure

KTM 1290 SUPER ADVENTURE

This KTM is our wild card pick for the top luxury bikes, but it certainly will not fail to please. This motorcycle is similar to a Range Rover in that it offers relative levels of luxury amenities and features in addition to being able to tackle the unknown and the world of off road. This is the bike that you can ride around the entire world, on both paved streets and in the mud. It’s versatile, comfortable, powerful, and a bike ready to handle anything and everything yet it is still very luxurious.

3. The Triumph Trophy SE

Triumph Trophy

The Trophy SE is the only grand touring motorcycle from Triumph, and there doesn’t need to be any others because it’s that good. It’s designed for long distance riding and it has great luxury features like comfortable seats, an electronic suspension, a sound system, built-in Bluetooth, and a host of other luxury features. At just $19,499 dollars it is also one of the more affordable luxury bikes you can get.

2. The Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited

Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited

The Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited takes everything you love about luxury motorcycles and everything you love about Harley’s, and combines them into one amazing bike. It’s got ABS, LED headlights, a premium control system, large seats, and all the other features you’d expect in a luxury bike. But most importantly, it’s a Harley.

1. The BMW K 1600 GTL Exclusive

BMW K 1600 GTL Esclusive

Since BMW is so well-known for their luxury cars, one can imagine that their motorcycles are also very premium and luxurious, and they certainly are. The K1600 GTL Exclusive is easily the companies most luxurious motorcycle and it has all the features you’d want in a premium bike: a powerful engine, adaptive xenon headlights, an alarm system, a keyless riding system, heated leather seats, an on-board computer system, a premium sound system, and much more. The list really goes on and this is certainly the most luxurious bike you can currently get. It’s also got a BMW price tag as well since it starts at around $30,000 dollars, but that’s the price of luxury right?
