The McLaren 675LT Spider is Their Fastest Convertible Yet

McLaren 675LT Spider

Following the success of the 675LT, McLaren has recently introduced the 675LT Spider as fans and consumers wanted a convertible version of the original. The McLaren 675LT Spider is aggressive looking, extremely technical, and it is the brands fastest convertible…ever.

The McLaren 675LT Spider was designed to incorporate what the original 675LT offered yet obviously in a convertible version. Like the original, the McLaren 675LT Spider uses a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that offers 666 bhp and 516 lb-ft of torque. In terms of performance, the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.9-seconds and it has a top speed of 203 mph. By those numbers alone, the 675LT Spider is the fastest convertible McLaren has ever produced. And like most modern McLarens, the 675LT Spider is expected to be a monster around the track.

The 675LT Spider naturally shares many of the same features with its brother, minus the three-piece retractable hardtop roof of course. It as a McLaren 7-speed sequential gearbox, 20-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli tires, active aerodynamics, a moving airbrake in the rear, a carbon-fiber chassis and body panels, multiple driving modes, a premium surround sound system, beautiful Alcantara seats, and everything else that you’d expect a high-end supercar to posses.

Like the standard 675LT, McLaren will only be producing just 500 examples of the 675LT Spider in total. The original 675LT sold-out fairly quick, and it is expected that the 675LT Spider will sell even faster. As expected, the McLaren 675LT Spider will start at $372,600 dollars, which is around $23,000 more than the normal 675LT started at.
