McLaren Unveils Their Newest Supercar: The 570GT

Ever since McLaren brought us the P1, they’ve upped their supercar game ten fold and have gone on to release a range of truly impressive vehicles. Now ahead of its official launch at the Geneva Motor Show, McLaren has recently shown off their newest supercar and there’s a lot to love about this car. Meet the all-new 570GT.

The McLaren 570GT is the third installment in the brands “Sport Series”, and it may just be their most refined model car to date. According to reports, they designed this car with long distance car rides in mind, meaning that it’s a supercar that’s actually fairly comfortable to be in for long periods of time.

The car, like most McLaren’s, is constructed around a carbon fiber “pod”. Over that single piece of carbon fiber is a body that is distinctly very McLaren, yet it feels like the most “polished” design they’re put on a car so far. Instead of a trunk they’ve incorporated a glass hatch that allows you to peer into the car and it’s leather-trimmed touring deck. As far as supercars go, there’s actually a fair amount of luggage space in the 570GT. Additionally the cars roof is almost entirely made from a single piece of glass, offering a luxurious panoramic experience. This luxury experience is further accentuated by the cars haute and premium interior cabin. There’s heated memory foam seats, the interior is almost entirely made from leather, there’s an eight-speaker audio system, and much more.

Now obviously since this is a McLaren, it’s quite the performer as well. The car offers a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 that delivers 562 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. 0 to 60mph is achieved in just over 3 seconds and it can reach a top speed of some 204 mph.

The McLaren 570GT represents virtually everything McLaren has been working on over the past few years. It’s extremely fast, technologically advanced, and arguably one of their most luxurious cars ever. Official pricing has not been reveled, however it’s expected to cost over $200,000 dollars. We will have to wait until the Geneva Motor Show for more information and we absolutely cannot wait.
