The Biggest Real Estate Websites

New Home Sales Plunge 11.8%

Real Estate is a business that has been completely redesigned with the new age of technology. While people used to be completely reliant on using an actual realtor and physically going to view houses, the digital age has allowed those searching for a new home to do it from their computer, phone, or tablet. These real estate websites now attract millions of users to their website with the ease of searching for homes in their area and being able to read and view them without having to go step foot into each one and see if they like it enough. Here are the biggest real estate websites according to their comscore.

5. Redfin – 5.4 million visitors

Redfin has real estate agents in 25 markets throughout the United States and is still working to gain more online customers. They currently have 5.4 million unique visitors using their webpage but are only pulling in 3 million from computers and another 2.8 million from mobile devices, which in comparison to their competitors, is very low.

4. Homes.com – 9.4 million visitors

Homes.com has a nice but somewhat basic website layout. A positive is that there is a general location search on the center of the screen right when you load the homepage up, but the different category options in the top right corner could definitely be more aesthetically pleasing. They are a part of the Forrent.com real estate network and brought a total of 9.4 million unique visitors to their webpage with 5.9 million coming from desktop computer users and the other 4.1 million from mobile users.

3. Move Inc. Network – 23.8 million visitors

The Move Inc. Network owns the real estate website Realtor.com and has set the website up to help provide users with everything they need to browse online real estate. The company generated 14.1 million users on computers while also being able to pull in another 12.7 from the mobile platform. Through Realtor.com, the Move Inc. Network was able to secure 22.6% of unique real estate website visitors for the month of April.

2. Trulia.com – 28.2 million visitors

Trulia.com is a part of the RentPath network and only began its beta phase back in 2005, so they are a fairly new real estate website company. However, they have been doing very well and are the real estate website that see the second most unique visitors with a total of 28.2 million. 18 million came from the PC and the rest stemming from the mobile category. The company has been constantly flopping back and forth between the second and third spot with the Move Inc. Network for the past couple of months.

1. Zillow.com 53.1 million visitors

Zillow operates through Yahoo’s real estate network and is light years ahead of its competition in real estate websites. Out of their massive 53.1 million total unique visitors, they were able to pull in 33.8 million from computers while also having another 20 million come from mobile devices. Zillow.com (with Trulia) is one of the more marketed and popular real estate websites out there and with how many visitors they are receiving per month seem to have the largest amount of content.
