Airports are constantly finding new ways to offer more to the coming and going passengers so that their time, whether it be short or long, is pleasant and positive. Many airports are finding ways to incorporate luxury so that people have more to do and a plethora of upscale places to visit while they are in the airport. Now a recent trend for airports seems to be the installation of self contained sleeping pods that are great for a quick nap without needing a hotel room.

Many people find the most comfortable chair or place on the floor in the crowded terminal as possible to curl up in and attempt to grab some sleep. Now they don’t have to worry about the cold ground being so uncomfortable because of these new sleeping cocoons that are popping up. For around $9 of $10 people who want to take a quicker nap in between their connecting flights can hop into one of these GoSleep pods that completely close up for some private space to sleep while shutting out the other commotion going on in the airport.

The pods have fluorescent lights inside and additional space on the outside to lock up luggage and belongings. There are outlets to charge phones and electronics, making sure the pods basically have everything people need for a quick stop. The sleeping pods first popped up in Dubai airports which are known for having the latest luxury appliances, but now they are making their way through Europe and are also in Helsinki.

19 pods will be put into the Helsinki airport and more might be added if they are receiving a lot of use. Helsinki has been rated as one of the best airports for its sleepability factor but these pods will only improve that and give guests a better option to grab some rest.
