Fashion Designer Karl Lagerfeld appears at the end of the runway during the Chanel show as part of the Paris Fashion Week

Karl Lagerfeld is the German fashion designer who lives in Paris and currently operates as the creative director for luxury companies Chanel and Fendi. Lagerfeld is a well known figure in the industry who has contributed to many successful fashion lines and products that have been released by some of the market’s top brands. Lagerfeld’s latest creation is a Louis Vuitton punching bag, which is something quite unusual to be made into a luxury item.

This odd new piece of the Louis Vuitton collection was designed by Karl Lagerfeld himself and has been making headlines everywhere. The limited edition punching bag, which is covered completely in the traditional Louis Vuitton pattern, celebrates the 118th anniversary of the company’s monogram project. Along with the punching bag comes a pair of matching Louis Vuitton boxing gloves, a stand, as well as a trunk that can also be used as a traveling closet.

The punching bag and entire rest of the collection are available for $175,000, which is quite expensive for such a material fashion piece, but Louis Vuitton brand lovers everywhere would love to have this on display in their house. Along with the punching bag are three handbags that Lagerfeld also created to go along with the collection. They resemble the punching bag with long chains to the straps and a long slender body.  The handbags match the punching bag with the traditional Louis Vuitton pattern on them and traditional gold accenting metals.

Lagerfeld’s punching bag collection is a part of the “Icon and Iconoclasts” collaboration project with other famous designers Christian Louboutin and Rei Kawakubo. Although the punching bag and accessories are more of a novelty product from the company, it celebrates Louis Vuitton’s 160th anniversary brings many new unique fashion pieces to their large overall collection.
