Tickets for professional sports teams are always priced in relation to how successful a team is; it’s basic economics. Those of us with winning sports team all know how expensive tickets can often get, but that’s obviously not the case with all the teams out there. The Chicago Cubs have not made an appearance in a World Series since 1945, and the last time that the won one was in 1908. So yeah, it’s been a pretty long time for them as a baseball team. Which is why it comes to no one surprises that tickets are still extremely affordable for this current season.
Even thought the Cubs have always been considered one of the least fortunate teams in the MLB, and while its still early in the seasons, their power rankings have them placed relatively well, granting them a spot in the top 15 teams. They are currently in second place in their division, and many people expect them to not totally fail this year. Still tickets are extremely cheap and affordable.
I was looking at tickets for upcoming games, and they are certainly very attractively priced. If you’re a fan of the cubs or just baseball in general and are in the area, you can easily afford to attend many Cubs games this seasons. For most of their upcoming games, the cheapest tickets available are priced around $20 dollars. Also for most games, you can get tickets right on the infield club level for anywhere between $60 to $100 dollars, on average. Considering what prices of these seats can go for at other stadiums, this is a really attractive option.
Still as great as these ticket prices are, I’m sure most Cubs fans would rather see the prices go up due to the fact that their team is extremely successful, as they certainly are overdue for a World Series win.
