Darya Klishina
Darya is a professional long jumper from Russia that is known for her beauty and athletic prowess. As a youngster, she played volleyball for a while but she eventually chose long jumping as a teenager after she was encouraged by her father, who was an athlete as well.
Darya’s participation at the 2016 Summer Olympics was controversial; she wasn’t permitted to participate at first until the long jump event was nearly kicked off, and she was 9th overall at the end of it all. I think it’s safe to say we all cheered a little when she was finally allowed to compete.
