She gained prominence as a result of her roles in films such as “Young Frankenstein” (1974), “Tootsie” (1982), and “Mr. Mom” (1983). Garr has been nominated for an Academy Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and a Golden Globe Award. In addition to her acting career, Garr is also a writer and has written a memoir titled “Speedbumps: Flooring It Through Hollywood”.
