Go On a Tour of Bravo TV’s Famous 154-Foot ‘Below Deck’ Ohana Yacht

Bravo TV's Ohana Yacht

Below Deck is an American reality television series on Bravo TV that debuted in July 2013. Produced by Courtland Cox, Elise Duran, and Mark Cronin, the show chronicles the personal and professional lives of crew members working  and residing aboard a luxury mega-yacht during charter season. For the reality entertainment program’s first season, producers booked a five-week Caribbean charter on the 164-foot yacht Cuor di Leone, which was renamed Honor for the series. The yacht’s original charter crew was given time off to be replaced by the Below Deck cast for the duration of filming. Bravo TV announced that the series was a relative success with 1.4 million average total viewers per episode and renewed Below Deck for a second season featuring a few new cast members. Season two–which debuted in August of this year–features the crew working aboard the 154-foot luxury mega-yacht Ohana during the charter season in the British Virgin Islands.

Below Deck‘s second season has already wrapped, meaning the Ohana is now back on the open seas and available for personal charter. Seeing as the show has received a slew of criticism from the yachting world, the Ohana–which means “family” in Hawaiian–was renamed Rhino and received a complete renovation and refitting earlier this year to “distance Rhino” from Below Deck, according to the yacht’s new owner. The Rhino is a 154-foot custom motor yacht originally built in 1998 by Admiral Marine Works with an interior and exterior designed by Donald Starkey. The luxury yacht’s interior layout sleeps up to 10 guests in five staterooms, including a master suite, two double cabins, and two twin cabins and is capable of carrying up to 10 crew members onboard. The Rhino is an elegant charter yacht with a number of awesome features, including spacious leisure and entertainment facilities, air conditioning, onboard WiFi, a gym, a deck jacuzzi, electric awnings, a shaded outdoor bar, four WaveRunners, a 40-foot waterslide, a wake board, an inflatable trampoline, snorkeling and fishing equipment, numerous towable toys, and the largest sun deck of any yacht its size. The ex-Ohana yacht has a maximum speed of 16.5 knots, a gross tonnage of 492 tons and is powered by two 1,650-horsepower engines. Available for charter throughout the Caribbean, Florida, and New England, the Rhino costs $140,000 a week, plus expenses.
