Hermès Unveils its Pre-Basel 2015 Diamond Studded Timepiece

Hermes Watch

Fans of the well known Parisian fashion house Hermès have a new luxury timepiece to drool over, as the popular brand has just recently gave the world a sneak peak of its newest watch. While the company produces a wide-range of wearables and fashion goods, they also like to dabble in high-end jewelry and watches. Boasting a significant amount of diamonds this new watch, known as the Hermès Arceay Ecuyère Aventurine, is pretty spectacular.

Hermès has created this watch to be shown off at Baselworld, an international watch and jewelry trade show that is held in Switzerland each year. The French company exclaims that the watch has been inspired by stars and the night sky, and that certainly seems like the case. The watch features a 23.7mm round dial that is made from white-gold. On the face of the watch we find dark blue/black sandstone with small detail work made from more gold and silver that look like stars. Additionally the watch features a dark blue alligator leather strap.

The most notable feature of the watch is the diamonds, obviously. While we don’t know the exact carat weight of the diamonds just yet (more information will come out when the watch is officially on display), we do know that the watch has 74 round-cut diamonds on the outside and 28 tiny diamonds around the small second dial behind its sapphire glass. Additionally there is also a single diamond adorning the crown of the watch.

There’s no word on exactly how much this luxury timepiece will cost when it finally comes out, but you can be sure that it will be really expensive. The watch will be available at select Hermès boutiques and stores around the world prior to its release at Baselworld this coming March.
