Top 10 Destinations Booked for 2015 among US Travelers

Puerto Rico

With the new year approaching people and families alike are getting their traveling  plans sorted out and making sure their destinations are set. Now that nearly all booking and trip planning takes place online, it’s very easy for companies and websites to collect metrics and gather up enough information to determine where the hottest vacation spots are for 2015. One website has taken the liberty of building a list to display the top international (and domestic) travel spots for the upcoming year for U.S. travelers. The results are relatively spread out around the world but there is easily a large amount of people who prefer to spend time in warm weather climates.

For international travel locations, Puerto Rico took the top spot and is currently the most booked vacation destination for U.S. travelers in 2015. This was followed up by another warm southern destination in Cancun, Mexico at number two. London, England came in at number three, which steps away from the warm climate trend. The full list is as follows.

1. Puerto Rico

2. Cancun, Mexico

3. London, England

4. Rome, Italy

5. Costa Rica

6. Paris, France

7. Toronto, Canada

8. Los Cabos, Mexico

9. Sydney, Australia

10. Barcelona, Spain

The only three locations on the list that aren’t consistently warm year round are London, Paris and Toronto. It’s not surprising to see this trend appear because most people and families want their vacations to be somewhere relaxing and comfortable. The website that organizes the data and puts out the lists also offers information about the most affordable cities in the United States as well. This is to help budgeting travelers find some good destinations that won’t break their bank. Dallas, Texas, Salt Lake City, Utah or Orlando, Florida offer average hotel rooms for between $86 and $90 a night. All of this traveling information is very interesting and really helpful to those looking to branch out and explore some new locations. Hopefully everyone can find a satisfactory travel spot in 2015!
