New York City offers some of the best dining options and has more than plenty of great places to grab a bite not matter what time it is. Recently, Zagat went out on a quest to determine which restaurant in New York City offered the best hamburger. The company determined that the burgers would be judged based on their flavor, value and ingredients used. Despite there being tons of different restaurants to test, in the end, Zagat deemed Peter Luger to have the best burger in New York.

Peter Luger won with a total of 24 points while the rest of the top 10 all scored in the 20’s as well. Plenty of major restaurants participated including Burger Joint, Minetta Tavern, B&B Winepub, Shake Shack, and more; yet, Luger’s burger offered the most complete package for overall deliciousness. Zagat released the highlights of each burger, with Luger and a Minetta tavern burger receiving the best score for flavor while Burger Joint has the best value for customers.

Zagat ran a bunch of different “best of” competitions recently to create a food map for anyone looking to grab a bite in New York. The company also took a look at barbeque restaurants, sushi places, coffee and plenty of other categories. The company took a look at the fact that New Yorkers are eating out 5.4 times a week on average, which is higher than the national average of 4.2. There are an endless amount of places to eat at, so Zagat is helping users to make sure they are receiving the best quality and their complete money’s worth.

The entire review included 30,592 surveyors who covered 160 different restaurants throughout New York. The entire listings will be released on their website under the “2015 NYC Restaurant Survey”, which will be a great guide to eating in New York City.
