Is Famed Acapulco Restaurant BECCO Worth the Expense?

Becco Al Mere is a fine dining restaurant in Acapulco Mexico that serves a variety of international dishes. The restaurant is known for its luxury interior, fine dining, expensive wine, and its diverse and ever changing menu, however it is predominantly Italian, or Italian fusion. Acapulco is located in southern Mexico and is right on the Pacific ocean, so Becco Al Mere always has fresh seafood to provide for its guests. While Becco AL Mere is supposed to be a fine dining restaurant, some people think otherwise.

If you head on over to the Trip Advisor page for Becco Al Mere you will see mostly positive reviews for the restaurant, however there is also a good deal of negative and less than favorable reviews for the restaurant as well. With a restaurant of this stature it is fair to expect certain things: high-quality delicious food, rare ingredients and specialty ingredients, fine wine and liquor, and the best service available. However according to some reviews, this does not seem to be the case. Many people are complaining that the restaurant is just too expensive. Now you might say: “well its a fine dining restaurant”. However when people from New York City and Chicago are complaining that it costs too much money, then it probably does. Those cities, especially New York are some of the most expensive cities to live in in the entire world. Acapulco is not. Apparently at Becco Al Mere a martini costs around $16 to $19 dollars, and their “cheapest” bottle of wine is $65 dollars. People also complain that the food is not that good despite the fact that a dinner for four can easily cost over $300 dollars. Additionally a lot of people are complaining that the service is very poor, and that the staff is not the best as well.

So it seems that perhaps the Becco Al Mere is not worth the hefty price that one pays at the restaurant as the service and food are not exactly “fine dining'”. But theres only one way to find out the truth and thats to go to the restaurant and see for yourself.
