Harley-Davidson’s 2015 CVO Motorcycles Feature the Most Powerful Engine Ever

The Harley-Davidson 2015 CVO Limited Production Lineup

Each year, iconic American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson unveils a limited-production lineup of motorcycles from its Custom Vehicles Operations (CVO) division. This year, for the 2015 model year, Harley-Davidson has revealed four all-new premium models: the low-slung CVO Street Glide ($36,349), the touring-friendly CVO Limited ($39,349), the monstrous CVO Road Glide Ultra ($39,649), and the classically nostalgic CVO Softail Deluxe ($28,999). Each of these four CVO models feature extravagant paint finishes, numerous custom details, copious amounts of chrome, saddlebags for long-distance riding, and most importantly, the most powerful engine ever manufactured by the Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Equipped with a Screamin’ Eagle 110 cubic inch V-twin motor, the 2015 CVO lineup produces up to 115 foot pounds of torque–an impressive display of pure steel horse power–along with an array of other eye-catching and performance-enhancing special features. In the Street Glide, Limited, and Road Glide Ultra CVO models, Harley-Davidson’s Twin-Cooling technology routes liquid cooling circuits to the engine’s cylinder heads for a much more comfortable operation, while the engine’s power is managed by a hydraulically actuated slipper clutch typically associated with high-speed race bikes. The CVO lineup also features keyless ignitions, cruise control, antilock brakes, Harley’s latest touchscreen multimedia system (not available in the Softail model), and downright awesome paint schemes, including Scorching Yellow, Starfire Black Flames, and Ultraviolet Blue.

The CVO Street Glide is a “hot rod bagger decked out fender to fender with Premium BOOM! Audio Sound, infotainment, custom details and mind-blowing paint;” the grand American touring CVO Limited sits “at the very top of the mountain in terms of power, features and riding experience;” the CVO Road Glide Ultra “brings the Road Glide motorcycle back to the Harley touring line-up with maximum swagger, custom CVO-Style and long mile capability;” while the CVO Softail Deluxe “combines big features with an easy riding attitude” and features a detachable windshield and saddlebags along with a “low seat and dropped-down center of gravity that makes handling a breeze.” The 2015 Harley-Davidson CVO “true motorcycle masterpieces” have a limited availability and most likely won’t be around much longer. Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Harley-Davidson Inc. was founded in 1903 by William S. Harley, Arthur Davidson, Walter Davidson, and William A. Davidson and is one of only two major American motorcycle manufacturers to survive the Great Depression.
