2015 is shaping up to be a good year for luxury hotels, among many other things. From incredible villas on top of the water to futuristic skyscrapers that push architectural boundaries, there really are many amazing luxury hotels that are going to open up this new year. The hotel industry is very interesting, especially the luxury hotel industry. The costs alone to create a class-leading hotel is enormous, yet many companies do. We are going to take a peek at a few luxury hotels that are scheduled to open their doors in 2015, and they truly are some amazing hotels.
5. The Gainsborough Bath Spa – Bath, England
The first hotel that we are going to look at is the all-new Gainsborough Bath Spa, in England. Located in the heart of the city Bath with ample access to surrounding attractions, the Gainsborough Bath Spa will be one of the nicest luxury hotels in the area when it finally opens in the spring of 2015. The hotel will offer its guests 99 amazing rooms and suites to choose from. The hotel is also located on top of ancient Roman ruins and an original Roman bath house, which has been re-imagined. Taking influence from the Romans, the people behind the Gainsborough Bath Spa have outfitted the hotel with an amazing, two-level spa. The spa takes advantage of the towns natural hot springs, and it is the only hotel in bath to do so. Rates are estimated to start at $454 dollars a night, and the most premium suites will have their own spas with water from the hot springs on tap.
4. Club Med Finolhu Villas – Kani, The Maldives
Club Med is a French chain of exclusive hotels and resorts around the world, and in 2015 they will be adding one more hotel to their list: Club Med Finolhu Villas. Located on the small island of Kani in the beautiful and exotic Maldives, the Finolhu Villas will be absolutely exceptional. The resort will be designed in such a way that the main buildings are located on the island, while all of the villas extend out over the water. The Finolhu Villas will offer 52 amazing villas that will be offered to adults only. From private pools overlooking the water to an amazing spa, the Finolhu Villas from Club Med will offer a lot to those that stay here. Included in the hotel rates (which will be around $627 per person, per night) are many activities that range from ocean kayaking and scuba diving, to dining opportunities and spa access.
3. The JW Marriott Venice Resort and Spa – Venice, Italy
The next hotel that we are going to look at is the JW Marriott Venice Resort and Spa. Aside from being located in one of the most beautiful cities on the planet, the JW Marriott Venice Resort and Spa is also located on a private island, in one the most beautiful cites on the planet. So right away you can tell we are dealing with a premier hotel. This amazing hotel and resort will offer guests some 40 acres of olive groves and gardens, 266 guest rooms and suites, a full-service spa, a cooking school, multiple restaurants and bars, and a rooftop swimming pool that provides some incredible views of Venice. The JW Marriott Venice Resort and Spa has a lot to offer, and rates are expected to start at $500 dollars when it opens in March of 2015.
2. Keemala – Phuket, Thailand
If the Ewoks from Star Wars teamed up with luxury hotel designers to construct a premium hotel and resort, it would probably look something like Keemala. Located somewhat off-the-grid in Phucket, Thailand this new resort offers potential guests an experience like no other. Nestled in the lush rain forests of Thailand overlooking the Kamala Village and the Andaman Sea is this amazing resort. The hotel and resort is comprised of 38 unique villas that offer guests a pretty cool experience that is complete with a private pool. Keemala also offers a few dining opportunities, a spa, a larger pool, and more. There is plenty to do here, however you come to a resort like this to get away from everything. If you are seeking a unique resort experience that is still luxurious, Keemala is a place to check out. It is set to open in August of 2015 and rates will start at around $530 per night.
1. Sunrise Kempinski – Beijing, China
Finally the last hotel on our list is the Sunrise Kempinski. Located 37 miles outside of Beijing on the Yanqi Lake is this amazing hotel. The hotel is architecturally pretty spectacular and was designed to “embody the shape of the rising sun and symbolize harmony, unity, and infinity”. Outside of how cool the hotel looks, it is still a premium hotel that offers 306 luxury guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants and bars, a few meeting rooms, a fitness center, a spa, and much more. There is a lot of money currently in China as its economy is extremely large and strong, and that fact is realized with this amazing hotel. The hotel is on track to open in early January of 2015.
