Earlier this week, Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the opening of Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. Guests can enjoy its prime beachfront location in the exclusive Barra da Tijuca neighborhood and access to world-class shopping, dining, cultural and outdoor activities. Barra da Tijuca Beach
Of every beach in Brazil, Barra da Tijuca is known as one of the country’s best. The Grand Hyatt has its own private, exclusive spot on this beautiful stretch of sand. While the colorful views of the beach are enough to attract anyone, the beach is also known for numerous celebrity sightings. Locals and tourists crowding the beach on the weekends will encounter food and drink stalls called barracas for visitors to try fresh, hand-made local Brazilian refreshments. There’s also tons of nightlife in this area as well as limitless opportunities to shop.
Rooms

Three signature restaurants, designed by acclaimed Brazilian architect Arthur Casas, will bring Hyatt’s culinary expertise to the destination and showcase choices that highlight international and local flavors. They are: Tano Cucina Italiana, which is a modern Italian trattoria, Shiso Japanese restaurant, and Cantô Gastrô & Lounge.
