A Rare Louis Vuitton Trunk Currently for Sale on eBay for $27,625

Louis Vuitton Steamer Trunk

Louis Vuitton is easily one of the most expensive fashion brands in the entire world, and they are well known for their expensive and high-quality goods. They produce a variety of different luxury items, most of which concern themselves with fashion. Additionally the company produces luggage as well, and this is the field that Louis Vuitton actually got its start in. When Louis Vuttion got its start back in 1854, they concerned themselves with producing high-quality trunks. While the brand does not produce any trunks today, you can still find some of them on after market websites. We recently found a rare Louis Vuitton steamer trunk on eBay, and since the company got its start with making these trunks, we are going to take a look at it.

Antiquarian Traders is selling an all original Louis Vuitton Steamer Trunk from 1915 with all of its accessories on eBay for $27,625.  Th trunk measures out to be 45 x 22 x 22 inches and is in great condition. A lot of these older trunks are in bad shape as they were often used for long distance travel: for example being stored on a boat for weeks, as air travel was not a thing. This wardrobe steamer trunk has six drawers on the right side, a detachable briefcase on the left, and a large compartment on the left for various luggage. The out side of the trunk is made from a handwoven material that has the Louis Vuitton logo all over it. The trunk also comes with its original hanger and the original manufactures tag, ensuring its authenticity. The trunk is made from beech wood and even has a “Saks Fifth Avenue” tag on it from when it was purchased. The trunk has all brass hardware and premium leather corners and trim. Given the nature of the information ensuring its authenticity, this trunk is extremely valuable and rare, and was kept in great condition for something that is nearly 100 years old. This is also the most expensive Louis Vuitton trunk on eBay, aside from another listing that is made up of 15 Trunks with a total asking price  of $104,000.
