Rafael Nadal named Tommy Hilfiger’s Global Brand Ambassador

You’ve seen him on the tennis courts defeating nearly all opponents and dominating the tennis scene, Rafael Nadal will now have a new job working with Tommy Hilfiger. The popular clothing brand and accessory company has recently announced that Rafael Nadal will serve as their global brand ambassador for specifically the Tommy Hilfiger underwear collection and the Tommy Hilfiger Tailored collections.

Tommy Hilfiger selected Nadal for his unbelievable prowess at tennis. Arguably one of the best players of all time in the game, Nadal is an extremely accomplished player. Nadal was born in 1986 in Spain, and picked up tennis at an early age. At the young age of 24, he became the youngest athlete to complete the “Grand Slam”. In 2008, Nadal won the French Open, the Australian Open, the United States Open, Wimbledon, and an Olympic gold medal which made him the second male tennis player to win the “Career Golden Slam”. He also has the largest amount of wins at the French Open, winning nine of them in total. So it is really no surprise why Tommy Hilfiger picked such an accomplished athlete to be their global brand ambassador.

Starting in the fall of this year, Nadal will officially start undertaking his job as their global brand ambassador. Images and photos for the new campaign will be photographed in Nadal’s home country of Spain, and will come out in the fall as well. Essentially as a global brand ambassador, Nadal will sort of be the face of the company. He will make appearances at key launch events in North America, Asia, and Europe to help further push not only Tommy Hilfiger as a brand, but their new product lines as well. Given Nadal’s high-status as a professional athlete, this will most likely prove to be a good move for Tommy Hilfiger.
